General Office Information
Routine health concerns and prescription refills are handled during
normal business hours. In order to secure your desired appointment
time, please call in advance. 24 hours advanced notice is required
for cancellations to prevent the additional charges for missed appointments.
If you have an urgent medical need, let the receptionist or answering
service agent know to ensure your message is promptly forwarded
to the doctor.
In
the event of a life-threatening emergency, please report to the
nearest emergency room. The emergency room will notify Dr. Hutchinson
that you are there for treatment.
Medical
advice, which is provided over the phone, is limited to our existing
patients only.
If
your insurance program requires that you follow certain procedures
concerning your medical visits outside this office, make sure you
follow these instructions so that your visit will be covered for
payment under your health plan.
Medication Refills
Medication
refills are approved only during normal business hours. When requesting
a refill, provide the following information:
- name
of the medication
- dosage
- the
prescription number
- the
pharmacy phone number
To
expedite your refills, you may call 901-369-4320 to leave your prescription
requests on our voice mail system. If you call during normal business
hours, the request will be handled the same day. If you call after
business hours, the request will be handled the following business
day.
Lab and X-Ray Results
We
feel that your lab and x-ray results are important and want to ensure
that results are received promptly. If you have not heard from us
within two weeks please call the office. It is important that you
notify our staff of any change in your contact information to avoid
delays in contacting you. |
